Dear Reader,
Meet John Borgstedt who I just met on the phone after reading his book, "I Love you Mom: Please Don't Break my Heart. I invited John in to speak of his remarkable story of a childhood of physical, mental, and emotional abuse. From school children and faculty to correctional institutions with hardened criminals to devout Christian church groups, John's message of hope, love, and determination touches the hearts and minds of his audience.
John will be one of our featured speakers at Books Alive, this weekend, January 13 - 15, 2009 as a fundraiser for my church, The First United Methodist Church of Jefferson, Texas.
Books can change lives and come hear from some of the best Christian and Inspirational authors in the country. From the "good book" to these authors books, let's enter into the holiday season with stories that will inspire us to do "good works"!
What are you waiting for? Road trip to historic Jefferson, Texas, headquarters of the largest "meeting and discussing" book club in the world, The Pulpwood Queens and Timber Guys 'where tiaras and crowns are mandatory and reading good books is the RULE"!
